What is Zeal Research
Zeal Research
A Quantitative Experimental Social Science Research Program
Program Overview
Zeal Research is a quantitative and experimental social science research program that leverages cutting-edge research methodologies such as eye-tracking and reaction time measurements. Widely adopted in the academia, these experimental social science approaches represent scientific, objective, and quantifiable ways to trace, measure, and characterize human cognitive and decision-making processes. At Zeal Research, we enable students to embark on independent social science research projects, guiding them through the intricate process of conducting experiments using human beings as subjects, and helping them to uncover nuanced insights into human cognition and behaviors. This program strives to cultivate research skills and academic writing abilities of students, and to enable them to delve into social problems of their true interests.
Research Fields
Quantitative experiments are extensively used in social science research to precisely quantify and characterize human behaviors. At Zeal Research, our students can explore a diverse array of fields, including psychology, cognitive science, media studies, business and economics. Students will have precious opportunities to explore social topics that really matter to them and conduct their own investigations like a working social scientist.

Zeal Research Experience
Taking full ownership of an independent social science research project, leveraging cutting-edge experiments to quantify psychological and cognitive processes.
Before attending Zeal Research, I never thought social science could be related to data. However, after conducting experiments, I realized that we can employ more rational and scientific approaches to investigate topics in social science.(Chen.H.H. '22)
Previously, my perception of social science primarily centered around the "social" aspect. However, through this experience, I have gained a deeper understanding of the "science" involved. Rather than relying on anecdotal evidence, I utilized statistical analysis to substantiate my conclusions.(Zhu.Y.C. '22)
